Kenneth Roland Owens was born in Howe, Texas on December 29, 1930 to loving parents, Richard Owens and Ruby Owens (Ellington). Kenneth enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1949 and served his country proudly in the Korean War. Kenneth was reunited with the love of his life, Marie Owens, on February 7, 2016. He was 85 years old. Kenneth is survived by his children; Michael Owens, Rhonda Schroeder, Steve Owens, Sharon King, Freddie Hutchison, William Hutchison, and Roland Hutchison; brother, Jack Owens; sisters Norma Hankins, June Owens; many grandchildren , numerous great- grandchildren and great- great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Marie Owens (2014); son, Charles Owens (1978); sisters, Ruth Owens, Margie Owens; brothers, Edward Owens and R.D. Owens. A graveside service was held Friday, February 12, 2016 at 11am at Shafter Memorial Park. A visitation was held Thursday, February 11, 2016 from 4-8pm at Peters Funeral Home in Shafter, California.
