IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Katherine Marie
Kroeker
September 23, 1923 – May 31, 2012
Katherine Marie Kroeker was born on September 20, 1923 in Dinuba, California to Cornelius K. and Elizabeth (Duerksen) Isaak. The Isaak family farmed in Dinuba and attended the Reedley Mennonite Brethren Church. Katherine joined older brother Wallace Isaak and years later a younger Sister Beverly. Mom's life was shaped by her love for God, her family and friends. Mom accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior as a youth and was baptized in the Reedley MB Church. Katherine married Vernon Kroeker of Shafter on May 25, 1942. They were involved in several ministries at the Shafter MB church. Including, Dining Hall and Fest committees. Katherine also sang in the Shafter MB church choir for several years. Into the Kroeker family came Janice, Dennis and Jay. Katherine worked at Maple School in the cafeteria for over 40 years and enjoyed the friendships of many she worked with. Katherine leaves her children, Janice and husband Jaryl Ollenburger, Dennis and wife Debbie and Jay and wife Carol. Grandchildren are Jeff Ollenburger and wife Kerrie, Julie Schulz and husband Tim, Bradley Kroeker and Dee Ann Kroeker. Great grandchildren are Katie, Lauren and Brady Ollenburger and Colin Schulz. Also left behind are Mom's sister, Beverly Klassen and family and sister-in-law, Charlene Booth and family and many family and friends too numerous to count. She was comforted by the knowledge that all of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren will someday be in heaven with her. The family thanks all those who visited and comforted and encouraged Katherine. We especially appreciate the loving care she received at Carrington. She continually praised her accommodations and the help she received. Katherine passed to her eternal rest, on May 31, 2012. We will miss her, but are confident of II Timothy 4:8 "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith." A graveside service will be held Wednesday, June 13 at 10am at Shafter Memorial Park. A memorial service will be held Wednesday June 13, at 5pm at Shafter Mennonite Brethren Church. Visitation will be held Tuesday, June 12 from 2pm to 8pm at Peters Funeral Home.
