June Dorothy Follstad Homemaker, 70 June Dorothy Follstad, a 70-year resident of California and 28-year resident of Joshua Tree, died Nov. 29, 2010, at home. She was 92 years old. The daughter of Frank A. Scheer and Ann Weber-Scheer, she was born Dec. 1, 1918, in Dubuque, Iowa. A homemaker for 60 years, Mrs. Follstad was a volunteer at the Hi-Desert Medical Center Auxillary Thrift Store in Joshua Tree for 25 years. She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Henry Follstad-Husband. She is survived by son Kenneth Follstad of Henderson, Colo., daughter Nancy Mumby of Reno, Nev., son Larrie Follstad of Yucca Valley, son Fred Follstad of Valencia, eight grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. Services will be private by her family. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Guide Dogs of the Desert.
