IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Julian Sarraraz
Jimenez
January 28, 1941 – September 17, 2012
Julian Sarraraz Jimenez, born January 28, 1941 in Wasco, California to Joe G. Jimenez and Frances Sarraraz was called to be with the Lord on September, 17, 2012 comfortably at his home surrounded by all five of his kids. Julian graduated from Saint John the Evangelist School in Wasco and attended Wasco Union High School. He was a volunteer firefighter for his local community and also a 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus as well as a member of St. John Catholic church. Julian married Rosemarie Romo on August 20, 1960 and was married for 52 years. Julian was born, raised and lived his entire life in Wasco. You could find him outdoors watering the lawn, cleaning the yard, and waving at various cars as they passed by the famous "F." street. He was a family man, but he also had many friends, who were also part of our extended family. He worked for the various rose nurseries to include; Armstrong, Bear Creek, and Jackson & Perkins for 38 years producing some of the most amazing flowers America has ever seen. His hobbies were deer hunting and deep sea fishing with his father Joe and his father in law Gonzalo. Each year he vacationed at Morro Bay State Park, where he enjoyed each summer with family and friends and the love of his life, Rosemarie. Because of his character he made many friends at the campsite from all over the world, which became a yearly tradition. For 20 years he enjoyed these relationships at Morro Bay State Park. He enjoyed wood carving and made various walking sticks with beautiful carvings for each member of his family. Gardening was his passion; he planted many chilies, tomatoes, squash and made the best salsa for everyone to enjoy. He spent weekend's barbequing, enjoying cold beer and great food. He was a big man with even a bigger heart lending a hand to anyone in need. Julian was charismatic and the life of the party. He told many jokes and brought big laughs for everyone to enjoy. The impact he left on his people was done through kindness and love. He will surely be missed by all.
