Julian Ignacio Alvarado was born September 10, 1944 in San Fernando Valley, California to Catherine (Armenta) and Rafael Sandoval. He came to Shafter with his parents in 1974. Julian was preceded in death by his parents. Julian is survived by his sons, Anthony Alvarado of San Jose, Julian Alvarado Jr. of Bakersfield; daughters, Rene Alvarado of San Jose and Belinda Alvarado of Bakersfield; 7 grandchildren; brothers, Rafael and wife Mercy Sandoval of Gilroy, Ruben Sandoval of San Jose, Johnny and wife Patsy Sandoval of Los Banos, Salvador and wife Barbara Sandoval of Bakersfield, Jimmy Sandoval of Bakersfield, Angel Sandoval of Wasco, Mario and wife Rene Sandoval of San Jose, Frank Sandoval of Bakersfield; sisters, Virginia and husband David Sierra of San Jose, Esther and husband Alex Garcia of Bakersfield, Rosie and husband Herman Little of Louisiana, Martha and husband Larry Lopez of Sanger, and Christina and husband Mike Agurrie of Bakersfield; and numerous loving nieces and nephews. A graveside service was held under the direction of Peters Funeral Home, Shafter on Thursday, June 26, 2008 at 10am at Shafter Memorial Park for Julian Ignacio Alvarado, age 63, of Fresno who passed away June 19, 2008 in Fresno. Visitation was held Tuesday, June 24, from 2pm to 8pm and Wednesday 25, from 2pm to 8pm at Peters Funeral Home.
