Judy Louise Lopez was born November 11, 1944 to Richard L. and Gladys F. (Letts) Russell in Wheaton Missouri. Judy attended grade school all throughout Missouri and moved to California in August of 1960 where she graduated from Arvin High School. Judy married her husband Johnny Lopez, in Bakersfield, December 11, 1962. Judy was a family woman who loved spending time with her grandchildren. She was a strong dependable woman who was always there when you needed her. Judy was a lovely woman who will be missed greatly. Judy is survived by her husband Johnny Lopez; three sons Steve Lopez, Richard and wife Beatrice Lopez, James and wife Patricia Lopez; daughter Carolyn Lopez; two brothers James and wife Shirley Russell, and Darrell and wife Gayla Russell; two sisters Bonnie and husband Richard Elkins, and JoAnn Selvey; seven grandchildren Joshua, LeAnn, Chris, James Jr., Joey, Alyssa, and Melanie; and two great grandchildren Eric and Isaac Lopez. Judy was preceded in death by her parents Richard James Russell and Gladys Florence Russell. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, July 10, at 10am at Arvin Funeral Home for Judy Louise Lopez, age 62, of Bakersfield who passed away July 5, 2007 at home with her family surrounding her. Pastor Graham Bell of the New Life Church of God in Lamont will officiate the service and interment follow at South Kern Cemetery District, Arvin.
