Obituary

Judith Carol Hatch was born January 4, 1943 in Bakersfield, California to Ruth (Rodeen) and Clyde Hatch. She attended the Peter Pan School and enjoyed being in the skits and plays put on by the school. Judith loved Elvis Pressley so much she wanted to marry him; but settled for listening to his music and watching his movies. Judith was raised by her mother and step-father, Ruth and Leslie Stearns who loved to travel and took Judith to Switzerland, Europe and around the world. After their passing, Judith was taken care of by her niece Debbie, Kern Regional Center and finally resided at Griffith Place in Wasco. Judith was preceded in death by her parents, Leslie and Ruth Stearns; brother Harold Stearns and wife Carol; and niece Debbie Cook. She is survived by her niece, Susan Eagle; and great nieces and nephews, Brandon, Amber, Crystal and Todd.A memorial service will be held Monday, April 7 at 10am at Peters Funeral Home, Wasco for Judith Carol Hatch, age 71, of Wasco who passed away April 2, 2014 in Wasco. Pastor Bill Lewis of the Griffith Avenue Baptist Church will officiate and inurnment will be at Greenlawn Cemetery, River Blvd, Bakersfield.
