Judith Rose "Judy" Andreshak, a 44 year resident of Twentynine Palms, passed away April 8, 2017 in Joshua Tree, California. She was 67 years old. The daughter of Stanley and Florence Andreshak, she was born September 19, 1949 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Judy graduated from high school and college in Milwaukee, WI; worked for the City of Milwaukee in the comptrollers office; Moved to 29 Palms in 1973 and held various civil service positions working for the USMC in Okinawa, Japan; New River, NC. and 29 Palms CA. She transferred to the Joshua Tree National Park in 2002 where she worked as a Budget Analyst. She retired from that position in December of 2009. Judy was very active in the local community theater; acting in plays at the Joshua Tree Playhouse and Theatre 29. She acted; directed and was assistant director for numerous plays as well as serving as a board member. She was also a member of Sigma Alpha Iota International Music Fraternity. Judy enjoyed traveling and cruises and just completed a 'trip of a lifetime' to Rome, Italy; France & Spain in 2016. Other hobbies and interests include crocheted lap robes for senior outreach programs, mosaic and stained glass art, reading, and gardening. She was looking forward to spending more time with her niece Kimmy and the love of her life; her great nephew Aiden. Judith is survived by her sister, Elaine Bowden and brother, David Andreshak, both of Twentynine Palms, her niece Kimmy Andreshak and grandnephew Aiden of New Berlin, WI, and her loving pet schnauzer, Della. She will be sorely missed by her sister Elaine; brother Dave, niece Kimmy, numerous cousins and many friends. A funeral mass will be held Wednesday, May 3, 2017 11:00 a.m. at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Twentynine Palms. A private interment will take place at Twentynine Palms Public Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Theatre 29, Palms n Paws Animal Shelter, or a charity of your choice.
