Obituary

Juanita Wattenbarger of Bakersfield passed away on January 29, 2008 at Beverly Living Center. Juanita was born in Maricopa on January 1, 1920 to Chester and Neva Vineyard. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Thelma, and brothers Charles and Earl. She is survived by her loving husband Ralph; her brother, Virgil; sons Tim and wife Linda, Bruce and wife Marge, Chuck and wife Terry, all of Bakersfield; grandchildren, Kristin Fredrick and husband Scott, Andy Wattenbarger and wife Kristie, Kelly Fredrick and husband Kurt, Nathan Wattenbarger and girlfriend Brooke; her great-grandchildren, Hailey, Sophia, Emma and Paige Fredrick and Brayden Wattenbarger. Juanita graduated from Taft High School in 1937. She married Ralph on July 26, 1941. The two celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary on July 26, 2007. Juanita was an assistant PTA president at Standard School and PTA president at North High School. She was an accomplish artist with paintings in the homes of many of her family and friends. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to Optimal Hospice Foundation and the Kern County Lung Association. Visitations will be held at Hopson-Anspach Family Mortuary on Sunday, February 3, 2008 from 2-8pm. A funeral service for Juanita will be held will be held Monday February 4, 2008 at 1pm in the Chapel at Hopson-Anspach Family Mortuary with interment following at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
