Juana Vasquez of Lamont passed away June 29, 2009 in Bakersfield, CA at the age of 89. She was born November 24, 1919 to Francisco and Simona (Pacheco) Vasquez in Los Angeles, California. Juana moved to Lamont in the early 70's working various jobs but mainly taking care of her family. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. Juana is survived by her four children, Jesus, Luis and Ignacio Vasquez and Concepcion Gomez. 40 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Recitation of the Holy Rosary was held Monday, July 6, at Arvin Funeral Home for Juana Vasquez, age 89. A Funeral Mass was held Tuesday July 7, 2009 at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Lamont with Fr. John Schmoll officiating and interment following at South Kern Cemetery, Arvin.
