Obituary

Juana Infante Duran was born October 151923 in Guanajuato, Mexico to Jose and Florencia (Mendez) Infante. She lived many places including Nuevo Lerdo, Mexico, Reynoso, Mexico and Texas before moving to California in 1972. She worked in agriculture for many different farm labor contractors. Her family has good memories of Sundays at Lake Woollems for picnics, bar-be-cues, watermelons and sandwiches. She was a good cook and the family favorites were her bunuelos and enchiladas. She raised a lot of children, her own, and her grandchildren and was loved by all who knew her. She is survived by her sons, Pedro Saucedo of Illinois, Emiliano Duran of Wasco, Armando Duran of Illinois; daughters, Susana Gomez of Texas, Guadalupe Mendoza of Illinois, Margarita Archuleta and Dora Alicia Duran, both of Wasco; sister, Esperanza Saucedo of Mexico; 24 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and many other loving family members. She was preceded in death by 2 grandchildren, Emilio and Graciela; Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held Sunday, December 9, at 4pm at Peters Funeral Home, Wasco for Juana I. Duran, age 84, of Wasco who passed away December 6, in Bakersfield. Mass of the Christian Burial will be said, Monday, December 10 at 10am at St. John's Church. Fr. John Fluetsch will officiate and interment will follow at Wasco Memorial Park.
