Juan Jose Gonzalez was born in Thalhaulilo, Durango, México on March 16, 1963 to Elsa Torres. Juan grew up in Filmore, California where he attended school and was a Filmore High alumni. He moved to the Shafter area after high school 1982 and met his wife Maria Teresa. Together they raised their four children. Juan was a farm laborer in agriculture and a very hard worker who always provided for his family. He loved having pistachios in his home to share with his family but would have to hide them from himself because he enjoyed them so much. Juan enjoyed his time with his family and shared many memories with them on family vacations to the beach and camping. He always was known to tease his family with sarcastic remarks and joking with his sisters. His greatest joy were his granddaughter which he called his three beautiful flowers. Juan passed away peacefully on October 24, 2015 surrounded by his family in Shafter, California. He is survived by his wife of 27 years Maria Teresa Gonzalez; sons Alejandro Gonzalez and Juan Guillermo Gonzalez; daughters Jeanette Gonzalez and Adriana Gonzalez (Isaiah Flores); granddaughters Annalycia, Allyson and Melanie Flores; mother Elisa Torres; grandmother Balvina Gonzalez; sisters Alicia Pimentel (Sergio) and Angelica Galvan (Ismael); brothers Hector Torres (Alicia) and Delfino Torres (Monica); aunt Juana Gonzalez; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. He is preceded in death by his grandfather Guillermo Gonzalez and father Delfino Torres. Viewing and recitation of the Holy Rosary was held on, Thursday October 29, 2015 from 2-8pm at Peters Funeral Home, Wasco. A Graveside Service officiated by father Lucas Azpericueta was held at Wasco Memorial Park on Friday October 30, 2015 at 10am.
