Joyce was born in Bakersfield, California on October 4, 1950 to Allie Dee Jones and Thomas Beam. She was married to Joseph Plumley and together they raised their three children in Shafter, California. Joyce dedicated her life to the Lord, singing and rejoicing in his love. She shared her love of the Lord educating children at the church school. She was a devoted wife, mother and loving grandmother who loved her family with all her heart. Joyce passed away Friday March 8, 2018. Her beautiful spirit and loving presence will be missed by all. She is survived by her husband of 44 of years Joseph; son Jonathan Wayne (Breanna); daughters Toni Russell (Ron) and Melissa Long (Gary); grandchildren Austin (Destiney), Nolan & Abigail Long, Mckenzie, Madison & Parker Russell and Molly Plumley; great-grandson Augustus Long; sister Marcelene Hardy. Joyce is preceded in death by her son Stephan Wayne Plumley; brothers William Smith and Robert Beam. Visitation will be held on Friday March 15, 2019 from 4-8pm at Peters Funeral Home, Shafter. Funeral service will be held on Saturday March 16, 2019 at 10am at Shafter Free Will Baptist Church officiated by Pastor James Kilgore.
