Joyce LaVerne Ogborn was born in Port Angeles, Washington on July 18, 1936. She moved to Madera, California as a young woman, where she began her career as a director of transportation for Madera Unified School District. Joyce enjoyed painting in her spare time. She painted many canvas for family members throughout the years and was an active member of the Bakersfield Art Association. Joyce dedicated her time to running the art department at the fairgrounds every year. She was married to her beloved husband, John Ogborn for 35 years. Joyce loved her family, especially her grandchildren. Joyce entered eternal life on December 5, 2018 in Shafter, Ca. Joyce is survived by her husband, John Ogborn; children, Jeffery L. Klein (Cherie), David Klein, Candice Adams (Al), Cara Gould, Cory Ogborn (Sarah); eight grandchildren and 4 great- grandchildren. Joyce is preceded in death by her first husband, Donald Eugene Klein. A graveside service will be held Monday, December 10, 2018 at 2pm at Shafter Memorial Park.
