Born in Paron, Arkansas on November 19, 1929 but called Shafter, California home for over 65 years. She married the love of her life, Neal Bradford, and now both are reunited in heaven for eternity. She was preceded in death by her husband, Neal Bradford, son, Larry Bradford, daughter, Carolyn Terry, daughter, Sharon Patino, son, Johnnie Bradford and grandchildren, Paul Bradford and Roger Terry. She leaves her son, Rick Bradford, and daughter, Joyce Sanchez, two brothers, Homer Hester and Henry Hester numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great- great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and many friends. She was grateful for Shafter Missionary Baptist Church and considered them family. Joy had a passion for gardening, quilting, cooking, visiting with family and friends, and singing in church. She loved and adored all her grandchildren and even made each one of them their own special quilt. Many family and friends got to experience her cooking especially her homemade biscuits and gravy that are also known as "turtles" and gravy. Joy was a loving, Godly woman that her joyous personality will be missed by many.
