Obituary

JOVITA ZANDUETA CAINGLET passed away August 19th while in the hospital at Mercy Bakersfield. She was born February 1, 1920 in Santo Tomas La Union, Philippines. She acquired her American Citizenship February 19, 1964. Before moving to Arvin Evergreen Healthcare because of her health, she resided at 200 Arvina St., Arvin, California. She is predeceased by her husband Bill (Blas) Cainglet, her sister Gregoria Zandueta Dayoan and her brother-in-law Simon A. Dayoan. She survived by cousins Dr. Fernando V. Dulay of San Francisco, Corazon Dayoan Dulay of San Diego, Eriberto D. Dulay of Sacramento, Florante D. Dulay of San Diego, Jun (Saturnino) Estoque of Milpitas and Nory Estogque Gun of Texas as well as nephews in the Philippines including but not limited to Francisco Zandueta Dabao and Rose Dabao Caragay. She will be missed by friends at St. Thomas Catholic Church in Arvin as well as many friends in the Bakersfield area. She will be remembered always as caring and friendly with a ready smile for everyone. Visitations will be held Saturday, August 23rd and Sunday, August 24th from 2pm to 8pm with Holy Rosary recited at 6pm at Arvin Funeral Home, 600 Tucker St., Arvin, CA 93203. Refreshments will be served. Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated, Monday, August 25, at 10am at St. Thomas Church, Arvin. Fr. Jose De La Torre will officiate and interment will follow at South Kern Cemetery, Arvin. A reception will follow.
