Jovita Florentino Bravo was born on Feb 16, 1955 in Guerrero, Mexico to Isaac Florentino and Lucia Bravo. She moved to Wasco in 1990 and had worked in agriculture all her life. She is survived by her son, Ivan Magana of Wasco; son, Estaban Serna of Shafter; daughter, Lucia Rodriguez of Olton, Texas; 5 grandchildren, Lawrence, Leonardo and Charlize Serna and Noelia and Osvaldo Rodriguez; parents, Isaac and Lucia; siblings, Jose, Alejandro, Esteban, Regino, Rosa, Amada and Victoria; and many other loving family members. She was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Fernando and Felipe; and grandson, Mark Anthony Serna. Holy Rosary will be recited Wednesday, September 30, at 6:30pm at Peters Funeral Home, Wasco for Jovita Florentino Bravo, age 60 of Wasco, who passeda away September 22, 2015 in an auto accident in rural Kern County near Arvin. Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, October 1, at 10am at St. John's Church. Fr. Raul Sanchez will officiate and burial will follow at Wasco Memorial Park. There will be a time of visitation and the family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 30 from 2pm to 8pm.
