Josefina R. Ramirez was born in Delano, Ca on November 15, 1952 to parents Martin Reyna and Josefina (Martinez) Reyna. Josie was a loving wife and mother. She cherished the moments she spent with her grandchildren at school and at sport functions; especially basketball. Josie taught Sunday school, where she encouraged creativity and taught arts and crafts. Josie devoted herself as a bus driver for many years and made sure each child made it home safe. She passed away October 4, 2017 at home with her loving husband and family by her side. Josie is now home, with Jesus, Lord and Savior. Josie is survived by her husband, Pastor Roy Ramirez; Child, Rogelio Ramirez Jr. (Karina Corrales), Marinela G. Ramirez; Grandchildren, Hannah M. Ramirez, Elizabeth J. Ramirez, Rogelio R. Ramirez, Timothy A. Ramirez; great- grandchild, Lucas J. Ramirez Cruz, sisters, Michaela R. (John) Gutierrez, Aurora Reyna (Tony Hopkins), Christina Mascorro, Dixie (John) Jara; many cousins, family, friends from California and Texas. A funeral service was held Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at 10am at Shafter Mennonite Brethren Church. A viewing was held from 8:30-10am.
