Josephine or "Nana", as her many grandchildren & great grandchildren called her, was the 4th child born to Thomas Alegria & Maria Vega in Tumacacori, Arizona on September 11th, 1938 and went to be with her Savior & Lord Jesus on February 21st, 2012. She was reunited with her sisters that have passed before her Lola, hope and Angie; and survived by her brothers, Daniel and William; and sister Molly. Josephine and her first husband Mucio Felix Moreno Jr. were married May 16th, 1959 until his passing on August 28th, 1999. Together they have 5 children, Richard, Frank, Rosa, Andrew, and Sandra; 15 grandchildren, Khara, Josephine, Priscilla, Krystina, Andrew Jr., Robert Jr., Nathan, Vanessa, Eric, Elisabeth, Christopher, Daniel, Anthony, Marissa, and Nicholas; and 17 great-grandchildren Angel, Luis, Antonio, Jeff Jr., Shai, Ismael Jr., Jasmine, Giana, Samantha, AnnaLyn, Aiden, Haidyn, Xavier, Alexander, Anden, Heaven, and Milla. Josephine was a born again Christian who loved the Lord. She spent every morning reading her bible and praying for all her loved ones. She loved to laugh and dance and enjoyed preparing delicious food to feed her family. Josephine was a homemaker for 60 years. She lived her life being a great care taker of her Mother who fell ill when she was just a young girl at the age of 13 until her mom passed. Josephine also cared for her Mother-in-law till she passed, followed by caring for her father-in-law till his passing, and then her husband and lifelong companion until his passing in 1999. Josephine remarried and spent her last 9 years residing in Santa Maria, California with her spouse Concho Robles and her newer extended family. Together they enjoyed eating delicious seafood along the coast in Santa Maria and taking in the gorgeous views of the ocean. Whether you called her by Josie, Mom, sister, or Nana, all will agree that she was a Mother figure to so many helping to raise and care for all in need of her unconditional love. She was the one always there for you without judgment or scorn. All who had the wonderful privilege to know and love Josephine carry with them her spirit and many memories made. To remember is to relive Services for Josephine are as follow: Viewing will be held on Tuesday February 28th from 6pm to 8pm at Westside Family Fellowship 215 Palm Avenue, Wasco, California. Memorial services to be held at same location on Wednesday February 29th from 10am-12 noon followed by graveside burial at Wasco Cemetery. Food and sharing of fond memories and togetherness at Veterans & Senior Building from 3pm – 5pm 1280 Poplar Avenue, Wasco, California.
