IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Joseph Charles
Pusateri Jr.
June 17, 1918 – March 7, 2008
On March 7, 2008 Joseph Charles Pusateri passed away at Westchester Gardens. His recent passing was a result of his decline in health over the last few months. Joe was 89 years old having been born in Lockport, New York on June 17, 1918. Joe was a veteran having faithfully served his country during World War II in the United States Army in the Pacific. Joe is survived by his brothers Nick of Tonawanda, NY, George of Kenmore, NY, Charles of Tonawanda, NY, and sister Lucy Lipuma of Orange County, California. He is also survived by his long time companion Marcel Tkach and lifelong and good friend Nash Caballero. He was predeceased by his brothers Francis, Roy, Robert, and his sisters Mary Gugliuzza and Sally Branch. Joe moved to Bakersfield in the early 1960's. He worked for Guimara Grape Vineyards as a supervisor of work crews until his retirement. Joe was a faithful parishioner of St. Joseph's Catholic Church. He was actively involved with the Knights of Columbus as a 4th degree knight. He was involved in the fraternal order of the Eagles and very much enjoyed his friendship with its members. Joe was an avid golfer and it became his passion after his retirement. He enjoyed playing golf every Tuesday and Thursday with his friends, Nash, B.J., and Dobbs, also known as the "Double T Team". Joe's family expresses great thanks to Westchester Gardens and Optimal Hospice who made his latter days comfortable. They are also deeply appreciative to Nash Caballero for his helpfulness to Joe during the latter years of his life and especially with his last illness. Rosary will be held at 6:00 p.m. on March 13, 2008 at Hopson-Anspach Mortuary. Funeral services will be held at 9:00 a.m. on March 14, 2008 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church.
