Joseph Guadalupe Rodriguez March 19, 1931 - January 15, 2007 Josefa G. Rodriguez was born March 19, 1931 to Federico and Bernarda Robles in La Feria, Texas. Josie, as she was known to her family and friends, was raised and attended school in La Feria, Texas. She married Jose Margarito Rodriguez on May 29, 1947, in Brownsville, Texas. Josie and Jose lived in La Feria and in Bay City, Texas for 22 years before finally moving to Wasco in 1966 and during which they raised 11 children. She worked in agriculture until 1973 when she went to work for the Wasco Child Development Center as a teacher's aid until her retirement in August of 1997. She was a mother, grandma, great-grandma and great great-grandma. She lived for family gatherings; Thanksgiving and Christmas were her favorite. She loved to go to the casino every chance she got. She lived a very happy and prosperous life with all of her family always around her, she was very loved by all of her family and will be greatly missed. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Jose M. Rodriguez of Wasco; children, Josie Trevino, MaryAnn Maldonado, Margaret Vento, Javier Rodriguez, Ector Rodriguez, Arturo Rodriguez and wife Lamar, Yolanda Fernandez and husband Gerardo, Cynthia Rodriguez and Israel Rodriguez all of Wasco, Eulalia Rodriguez and Joe Rodriguez Jr. of Bakersfield; 36 grandchildren, 57 great-grandchildren, 2 great great-grandchildren; brothers, Federico Jr. and wife Maria of Georgia, Daniel Robles and wife Maria of Texas; and sister, Lidia Robles of Indiana. A funeral service under the direction of Peters Funeral Home was held at Grace Community Church on January 19, 2007 at 10:00 for Josefa G. Rodriguez, 75, of Wasco, who passed away January 15, 2007 in Bakersfield, CA. Consuelo Salinas of El Templo Emmanuel officiated the service and interment followed at Wasco Memorial Cemetery. A visitation was held at Peters Funeral Home on January 18, 2007, from 2-8 PM.
