Josefa Goni passed away on November 3, 2011. Visitation will be at Peters Funeral Home in Wasco on Wednesday, November 9th from 2pm to 8pm. Rosary will be at 6:30pm at Peters Funeral Home. Services will be conducted at St. John's Catholic Church 1300 9th Place in Wasco, California on Thursday, November 10, 2011 at 10am with interment at Wasco Memorial Park. Josefa Goni was born February 17, 1923 in the town of Elizondo in the Province of Navarra Spain. She was one of nine children born to Martin Urrutia and Antonia Goni. She married Toribio Goni on November 5, 1949 and came to Wasco in April of 1950. Josefa was preceded in death by her husband Toribio Goni. Survivors include her three children and their families; Fernando Goni of Wasco; John and Karen Goni of Wasco and son, Martin Goni of Bakersfield; and Josephine and Jim McCoy and son, Andrew Corcostegui of San Francisco California and Katy McCoy of Bakersfield, California; 1 brother and two sisters in Spain. Pallbearers will be Jim McCoy, Jim Grundt, William Harris, Joaquin Azparren, Javier Onaidia and Fernando Iturriria. The family would like to include a special thank-you to Dr. Romaine Clerou, Cathy Gonzales and the staff of Delano Hospital for their loving care of Josefa.
