Jose Victor Vega Bravo was born November 29, 1958 in Los Algonones, Baja California, Mexico to Maria Bravo Gallardo and Jose Vega Ramirez. He came to California in his teens and settled in Wasco shortly after. Jose married Roberta Duran December 6, 1983 and raised their children in Wasco. Jose was a mechanic, working on agricultural equipment for over 40 years. He worked for Payne Harvesting and Darr-Pitcairn before his health forced him to retire. Jose loved working on cars, which he did in his spare time, keeping all the family cars in good working order. Jose is survived by his wife of 29 years, Roberta Duran Vega; son, Victor Vega of Fresno; daughters, Diana Vega of Bakersfield and Esther Vega of Arkansas; brother, Abundio Vega; sisters, Olivia Gonzalez, Alicia Arreola, Cecilia Vega Bravo and Amalia Vega Bravo; and many other loving family members. Jose was preceded in death by his parents. Holy Rosary will be recited Wednesday, December 5 at 6pm at Peters Funeral Home, Wasco for Jose Victor Vega Bravo, age, 54 of Wasco who passed away November 30, 2012 in Delano. Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, December 6 at 10am at St. John's Church. Fr. John Fluetsch will officiate and burial will take place in Mexico. A visitation will be held Wednesday, December 5 from 2pm to 8pm at Peters Funeral Home.
