Jose Magana Suarez was born on June 30, 1954 in Mexico to Salvador Magana and Maria Suarez. He moved to Wasco in 1990 and worked in agriculture all his life. He is survived by his son, Ivan Magana of Wasco; step-son, Esteban Serna of Shafter; step-daughter, Lucia Rodriquez of Olton, Texas; siblings, Guadalupe, Fernando Antonio and Alicia; and many other loving family members. He was preceded in death by his parents, Salvador and Maria; and brother, Luiz. Holy Rosary will be recited Wednesday, September 30 at 6:30pm at Peters Funeral Home, Wasco for Jose Magana Suarez, age 61 of Wasco who passed away on Tuesday, September 22, 2015 in an auto accident in rural Kern County, near Arvin. Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, October 1, at 10am at St. John's Church. Fr. Raul Sanchez will officiate and burial will follow at Wasco Memorial Park. A visitation will be held and the family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 30 from 2pm to 8pm
