Jose Perez Salazar July 6, 1930 – December 14, 2006 Arvin Funeral Home will be conducting a funeral service, Monday, December 18, at 10am at South Kern Cemetery District, for Jose Salazar. There will be a viewing taking place December 16, from 2-8pm and December 17, from noon to 8pm at Arvin Funeral Home. Jose, 76, was born to Pedro and Christina Salazar on July 6, 1930 in Martindale, Texas. He came to Arvin in 1966 and worked in Maczie Farms and El Rancho Farms. Jose was very social and liked to be around people. Jose was a member of the Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Jose Salazar is now survived by his sons Jose, Daniel, Banifacio and Tommy Salazar; his daughters Hopie Chavez, Paula Albarran, Rose Mary Zuniga, Susie Sierra and Rita Ann Solas; his bothers Jesus and Pascual Salazar; his sister Paula Enriquez; 46 grandchildren, 62 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren. Jose is preceded in death b his parents Pedro and Christina Salazar and two sons Antonio and Pedro Salazar.
