Jose Margarito Rodriguez was born August 27, 1927 in San Antonio, Texas to Eulalia Romero and Margarito Rodriguez. He was raised in Monterrey Nuevo Leon, Mexico and during his teen years, he decided to go back to Texas and start a new life. It was there, the he met Josefa Guadalupe, in La Feria, Texas, who became the love of his life, and his wife of 59 years. They lived in La Feria and Bay City, Texas for 22 years before finally moving to Wasco. Family gatherings were his favorite thing to do. He also loved the casinos. He was very outgoing, kind and patient man. Jose lived a very happy and prosperous life with all his family around him. Jose Margarito Rodriguez is survived by his children, Josie Trevino, MaryAnn Maldonado, Eulalia Rodriguez, Margaret Vento, Javier Rodriguez, Hector Rodriguez, Jose Rodriguez Jr., Yolanda R. Fernandez, Cynthia Rodriguez, Israel Rodriguez, 38 grandchildren, 76 great grandchildren, 9 great-great grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his wife Josefa Rodriguez; daughter, Yolanda Rodriguez, brother, Cosme Rodriguez, and sister, Macaria Rodriguez. We will miss him greatly and will always cherish him in our hearts. Visitation will be held at Peters Funeral Home on Sunday, June 23, 2013 from 4-8pm with an evening service at 6pm for Jose Margarito Rodriguez, age 85, of Wasco, who passed away on June 18, 2013. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, June 24, 2013 at 10am at Grace Community Church. Pastor Consuelo Salinas will officiate and interment will follow at Wasco Memorial Park.
