Jose G. Gomez was born in Raymondville, Texas on December 12, 1948 to parents Jose Gomez and Madronia (Herrera) Gomez. Joe moved to California with family in 1960 and eventually settled in Arvin in 1969. Joe married Beatriz and together they raised four sons. Joe was a hard worker and provider for the family. He was a great father who loved his family dearly. Joe was well known in Arvin and had many friends who he enjoyed spending his time with. Joe was a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend. Joe entered eternal life on May 1, 2020 at his home in Arvin. Joe is survived by his sons; Jose G. Gomez Jr. and wife Marlene of Bakersfield, Isreal Gomez and wife Kimberly of Bakersfield, Jesus Gomez and wife Angelica of Bakersfield, Daniel Gomez and wife Monique of Las Vegas; close family member, Frank Zambrano; sister, Maria Concepcion Resendez of Texas; 15 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Jose and Madronia Gomez; sisters, Maria Jesusa Gomez, Maria Dominga Mendez; and ex-wife, Beatriz (Aguirre) Gomez.
