Jose Carmen Busio was born in Mission, Texas, to Carmelo and Amparo Busio, on March 19, 1944. He moved to California living in Santa Rosa, and eventually Shafter in 1997. He married Josefina Ramirez in Reno, Nevada on September 1, 1990. Jose worked as a truck driver hauling asphalt for most of his adult life. He was employed by Kirtly Trucking of Bakersfield. Jose loved spending time with his family. After work he would hurry home to be with his children and grandchildren; he loved taking them to the park. He enjoyed barbequing Carne Asada. Jose was preceded in death by his father, Carmelo. He is survived by his wife, Josefina; sons, Jose DeJesus, Omar and Christian Busio; daughters, Luz and husband, Tele Santana, Flor Ramirez, America and Linda Busio all of Shafter; mother, Amparo Busio. He also had 4 sons from a previous marriage, Joe, Jr. Jimmy, Eddie and Johnny of Winsor; brother, Roberto Busio both of Santa Rosa; sisters, Janie, Aurora, Josefina, Francisca, Lupe, Caramela, Yolanda, Lucia, Rosa Busio, Francisca Gonzalez, Maria Magdalena, Maria Ponce, Francis Tapia; 2 grandchildren; and many other family members. Recitation of the Holy Rosary was held at Peters Funeral Home on Thursday, August 30, 2007, at 6pm, for Jose Busio, age 63, of Shafter, who passed away Wednesday, August 29, 2007, in Shafter. Mass of the Christian Burial was celebrated Friday, August 31, 2007, at 10:30am. Father Pedro Umana of St. Therese's Catholic Church officiated the service and interment followed at Shafter Memorial Park.
