Jose Bravo was born in Tangancicuaro Michoacan on September 12, 1957 to Jovita (Arteaga) and Alfredo C. Bravo. He came to Wasco at the age of 6 years and attended the local schools, was on the Wasco High School wrestling team and graduated in 1976. Jose was a handy man willing to fix anything that was broken, worked on car engines and a talent for drawing. Whoever Joe met in need; the generosity was from the heart whenever possible. His family will miss him much, especially his nieces and nephews, as he seldom turned down an opportunity to spend time with them. Jose was preceded in death by his mother Jovita Bravo (1979) and survived by his father Alfredo, brothers, Alfredo Jr. and wife Lucila, Jesus Adrian, Albert and wife Lidia; sisters Lydia Cobarrubias, Dora and husband Nicholas Anaya, Elsa and husband Miguel Torres, Rosalva and husband Amilcar Valdes; nieces, nephews, a loving extended family and many friends. Father John Fluesch will officiate Mass of the Resurection for Jose Brave, age 52 of Wasco who passed away January 13th, at St. John's Catholic Church - 10am, Wednesday January 20, 2009. Visitation will be in the Chapel of Peters Funeral Home Tuesday January 19th 5 to 8pm with recitation of the Holy Rosary commencing at 6:30pm.
