Jorge Zavala was born on September 4, 1980 in Guanajuato, Mexico to J. Rosario Zavala and Catalina Gomez. At an early age, Jorge and his family moved to Arvin, California. He started working for different agricultural companies as a farm laborer. Jorge enjoyed playing soccer, going on outings with family and friends. He loved to spend time with his adoring wife, Liliana Martinez, and two beautiful children, Valeria Zavala and Jorge Zavala. Jorge was a very caring, thoughtful, and devoted man who loved life. On June 9, 2015, Jorge passed away. With great sadness and much loss, Jorge leaves behind his parents J. Rosario and Catalina Zavala; wife, Liliana Zavala; son, Jorge Zavala Jr.; daughter, Valeria Zavala; brothers, Jose Zavala and Jaime Zavala; and sister, Irma Gallardo. He is preceded in death by his brother Eduardo Zavala. Jorge will be deeply missed but never forgotten; and will stay forever in our hearts. A Mass of a Christian Burial will be officiated by Father Jorge De La Torre on Tuesday, June 16, 2015 at St. Thomas Catholic Church at 10am. A visitation will be held on Monday, June 15, 2015 at Arvin Funeral Home in from 2-8pm with a recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7pm.
