Jorge Vargas, Jr. was born in Bakersfield on September 11, 1991 to Irene (Gracian) and Jorge Vargas Sr., the baby of three siblings. He attended the local schools and graduated from Shafter High School. His sisters spoiled him and loved him like a snuggly teddy bear; he was always calling them to hear their voices and making sure all was ok. He enjoyed driving his car any opportunity he had he'd run errands or give anyone a ride to where ever; with music playing. Not only did Jorge have many friends surrounding him but he had a wealth of friends on Facebook. During spare times, he enjoyed playing basketball with friends, lifting weights, wrestling, drawing in his black books and kicking back with friends. All in all Jorge was a noble young man, kind, lovable, protective, funny, talented, creative, charming and often thought he was never wrong. All who knew him, many of whom he shared a smile all who loved him, will miss him. He is survived by his parents, Irene and Jorge Vargas Sr.; sisters Rosie and Ale, grandparents; nephew Stuart, Jorge and Victor; niece Natalie; extended family, many friends and acquaintances. A 11:00 am mass of the Resurrection will be held for Jorge Vargas, Jr. on Monday, October 4, 2010 at St. Therese's Catholic Church. Visitation will be held at Peters Funeral Home Chapel Sunday, October 3, 2010 from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm with recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 pm.
