Jonathan Elgia Battle was born on August 1, 1962 in San Diego, California and adopted at birth by Rev. E.O. and Clairee Battle. He passed from this earth to his heavenly reward on August 20, 2020 at the age of 58 years old. He was a resident of Tulare, California. Jonathan lived his early years in Ecuador and Uruguay as his parents were missionaries. The family eventually moved back to the United States and lived in Goshen, California. His parents pastored the Mt. Zion Apostolic Church for twelve years. Jonathan had served in various positions at several churches in California during his short lifetime. He is survived by his two children: Nathaniel Battle (Amanda) and Tiffany Engert (Jeff) and by two grandsons: Benjamin Battle and Owen Engert. He is also survived by his brother: Keith Battle and by his sister Cherie Wilkins (Gregg) as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Private graveside services will be held at a future date due to the pandemic.
