Johnny Manuel Berumen was born on March 08, 1965 in El Monte, CA to Manuel Johnny Berumen and Letha Delane Bean, both of whom he lost in 2012 and in 2019, respectively. Johnny's stepfather was Billy Lloyd Gentry, who he lost in 2019 as well.

Johnny has two children, Johnnie Lee and Brittany, both of whom he always spoke about with great pride. He loved spending time with his grandchildren when they would come over and play at his house. And he has three step children, Devin Finley, Nellie Posey, and Freddy Posey. He loved spending time with his friends.

Johnny attended Shafter High School and enjoyed fishing, riding his black Harley Davidson as well as riding dirt bikes.

He was taught to drive a truck by his uncle Bobby Berumen and used those skills for his work. He took his sister, Sandra, for ride-alongs in his diesel on a few occasions. He also loved going out into the desert and scouting for antiques that he could find.

Johnny loved his dog, Poopie, like no other dog he'd ever had. Poopie never left his side.

Johnny Berumen passed away peacefully at his home in Lost Hills on June 22, 2024.

Johnny is survived by his spouse, Misty Graves, by his siblings and their spouses, Brenda Berumen & Fred Herrman, Sandra Gentry & Mike Swanson, Kenny & Kelly Gentry, Timmy Gentry, Manuel Berumen, Salina Berumen, Jamie Berumen and Whitney Wieler, by his aunts and uncles, Jeanette Garrison and Darrell Smith, Johnny Bean, Richard & Gidget Bean, Cheryl Welch & D.J., Christopher Wells and Rose Levine, Angel Sandoval, his grandchildren, Alexis Berumen, Sydney Berumen, Addison Berumen, Brody Berumen, Brea Berumen, Bailey Berumen, Bree Brown, & Rachael Rae Berumen, and by his cousins, Laura Wenn, Michael Williams, Raymond Williams, Sheldon Williams, Michelle Rush, Robert Berumen, Sherry Berumen, James Cobb, Melissa Knox, Stacy Welch, Tony Welch, Bruce Bean, Shirley Hinslea, Jennifer Bean, & Alex Bean.

Services will be held on Thursday, July 11, 2024 at 10:00am at Peters Funeral Home located at 844 E Lerdo Hwy, Shafter, CA 93263, to be followed by a graveside memorial at Shafter Memorial Park located at 18662 Santa Fe Way, Shafter, CA 93263.
