John Tello was born on September 16, 1951 in Loraine, Texas to parents Juan Tello and Maria Ruth Tello. John joined the Army in 1971. Shortly after his tenure in the military, John received his Masters Degree and pursued a career as an educator. Education was important to John, who would habitually encourage others to further their education. John was an intellectual man who devoted his time to his faith. He was a 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus. John obtained a Reverend card and enjoyed his time in ministries. He loved nature and often enjoyed his days off fishing or traveling. John entered eternal life on November 10, 2020 in Bakersfield. John is survived by his daughter, Juleah Tello; son, John Robert Tello; sister, Lucia Garcia; nephews, Victor Castro, Alex Castro, Pete Garcia; nieces, Michelle Cooper, Irene Navarro. He is preceded in death by his parents, Juan and Maria Tello.
