John W. Perkins, a native of Englewood, Colorado, a 52-year resident of California and a 30-year resident of Yucca Valley died on Sept. 27, 2008 at home. He was 71-years old. Born on May 28, 1937 to John W. Perkins, Sr. and Burnice (Gallatin-Perkins) Wilson. He was married to Frances Perkins for 47 years. He is survived by his wife Fran Perkins of Yucca Valley, CA; son John W. Perkins III and daughter-in-law Debra Perkins of Johnson Valley, CA; son Jeffrey W. Perkins of Yucca Valley, CA; daughter Jenny L. Spearman and son-in-law Rick Spearman of Cedar Park, TX; 6 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. He worked for Thunderbird Country Club as an Air Conditioning and Maintenance service technician and retired after 15-years.
