John Michael Najera 1945-2015 John passed away on Tuesday, Aug 18, at his residence in Wasco; he was born on Nov 14, 1945. John graduated from Live Oak High School in Morgan Hill, and married the love of his life, Gerry (Weaver) Najera, on October 12, 1963 in Gilroy, California. Work was a big part of John's life, and he was proud of his law enforcement background; early in his career he served as both a police officer and then also as a deputy sheriff/coroner. He then went on to work as an electrician for over 30 years. John leaves behind his wife of 51 years, Gerry Najera of Wasco; daughter, Lori and husband Danny Hill; grandchildren, Daniel Hill and Sandra Hill; great-grandchildren, Michael Hill, Deann Hill and brand new baby Danny Hill, Jr.; 1 brother, Andy Najera and wife Linda; 1 sister, Dori and husband Steve Molina; and several nephews and nieces, plus great nephews and nieces. A memorial service was held at Wasco Elks Lodge on Saturday August 22, 2015 at 2pm.
