John Ray Jenkins was born in Bakersfield California on February 12, 1991 to Lori Dawn Jenkins and Kenneth Ray Bradley. He lived in Oklahoma and Iowa as a young child and returned to Bakersfield in 1997 and graduated from North High School in 2007. John enjoyed all kinds of video games; he had a great interest in computers. He spent most of his free time off roading in his 2000 Jimmy. He had a great sense of humor, well known for making people laugh and had a genuine smile. Known to his family as Jon-Jon and to friends as "Tiny", he was always willing to help anyone who needed it, he was a big sweet teddy bear. John enjoyed all kinds of music; it just depended on what time of the day or what mood he was in that set the type of music he listened to. John was preceded in death by his grandmother, Sharon Garcia and is survived by his grandparents, John Bradley, Donald and May Etta Jenkins, parents, Lori Dawn Jenkins and Kenneth Ray Bradley; brother, Daniel Jenkins and wife Michelle; sister, Heather Snow and husband Joshua; nephew, Leland Snow; many aunts, uncles, cousins, good friends and acquaintances. He will be missed by all. Graveside service will be held for John Ray Jenkins, age 18, at Shafter Memorial Park, Friday, August 28, 2009 10AM.
