John G Garza "Tata" was born on June 24, 1932 in El Centro, CA to Jose Garza and Loretta Gonzales. John enlisted in the Army in 1954 where he served for a couple years. After the army, John met the love of his life Francisca E. Cruz "Nana" in Calexico, Ca. Making a life together, they moved to Wasco, CA where he worked in agriculture and as a mechanic until he medically retired due to health issues. John continued to enjoy life by staying busy with his hobbies which included: playing cards, working on cars, yard work and cruising the streets with his radio on his tricycle. John enjoyed his family time and vacations in Las Vegas. While building a life for 49 years with Nana he lost his best friend in 2004. John continued to live life to the fullest enjoying his time with his grandkids and great grandkids. John leaves us all with fun memories but nothing like seeing him chase the great grandkids down the hall with his cane. He is preceded in death by his parents, siblings, step-son, and his wife Francisca E. Cruz. John is survived by his 3 step-daughters, son-in laws, and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
