John Dobbs 1937-2021 John Dobbs was born in Springdale, Arkansas on October 18, 1937. The family moved to Coalinga, California when he was three years old. John attended Coalinga schools graduating from high school in 1955 and Fresno State in 1960. Following graduation he entered the Army serving in Viet Nam. He worked for California Planting Cotton Seed Distributors for thirty seven years retiring in 2000. John's happiest days were spent in front of a BBQ wielding a spatula, a fishing pole in hand or traveling in search of a new fishing adventure. Survivors include his wife Suzie, daughters, Jennifer Ayres (Paul), Stephanie Trickey (Jerry), son Timothy Dobbs (Heather), grandchildren Christopher and Steven Trickey, Jenna Ayres and Charlie Dobbs. Private Burial Services will be at Bakersfield National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in John's name to the Congregational Bible Church, 430 E. Tulare Ave., Shafter, CA 93263
