Joe A Lopez, 75, of Bakersfield was born Oct. 8, 1932 in Westlaco, Texas, to Juan and Santos Lopez. He leaves behind a loving wife, Mary; 3 children, daughter Janey and sons David and Mike. Joe was a loving grandfather and great-grandfather, he saw the birth of 10 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. He loved fishing and was proud to be a veteran of the Army, serving during the Korean War. He was a fighter, a champion of champions. He will be missed. Viewing will be held at Hopson-Anspach Family Mortuary on Friday December 21, 2007 from 2-8pm with Recitation of the Holy Rosary 6pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday December 26, 2007 at 10am at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, interment will follow at Union Cemetery.
