Joan Dell Goertzen November 22, 1948 - May 13, 2012 Joan Dell Goertzen, 63, went to be with the Lord on May 13, 2012. Joan is preceded in death by her parents Milton and Priscilla Wedel and brother Gerald Wedel. Joan is survived by her daughters Shari Goertzen and Kristi Hartsfield, husband Chris, their twin boys, Cody and Zachary Hartsfield; her sister Janet Mease and husband Rick, brothers Don Wedel and wife Vivian, Andrew Wedel and wife Priscilla, and sister-in-law Linda Wedel. A celebration of Joan's life will take place on Friday, May 18th, at 2:00pm at the Valley Baptist Church with an open house reception following at 7212 Eloy Avenue in Bakersfield. Floral donations can be sent to Valley Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Bakersfield Rescue Mission, Youth for Christ or World Vision
