IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Jimmy Wayne
Glasco
July 19, 1958 – August 5, 2025
With heartfelt sadness but eternal hope, we announce the homegoing of Pastor Jim Glasco, who entered the presence of the Lord on August 5, 2025, at the age of 67.
Jim was born on July 19, 1958, in Shafter, California, to Herman and Dorthy Glasco. He was one of six siblings: Pam Glasco, Jana Sheffield, Phillip Glasco, Lori Munoz, and Crista Alberson.
On June 29, 1980, Jim gave his heart to Jesus Christ at 7th Standard Pentecostal Church—a decision that changed the course of his life forever. The church where he met Jesus would soon become the church he would pastor faithfully for nearly four decades.
For 37 years, Pastor Jim served as the devoted shepherd of 7th Standard Pentecostal Church, boldly preaching the Word of God, praying with power, and leading with love. His ministry was marked by humility, integrity, and a deep passion for souls. His sermons stirred hearts, his prayers brought comfort, and his life reflected the Savior he served.
He is survived by his loving wife, Brenda Glasco, who stood faithfully by his side through every season of life and ministry. Together they raised four sons: William, Derick, Aaron, and Isaac Glasco and had three beautiful daughter in laws that he adored Miranda, Leland, and Rachel Glasco.
Jim was also a proud Papa to nine cherished grandchildren: Nathan, Josiah, Makayla, Kaden, Othniel, Elisha, Samuel, Lucas, and Titus. Each one held a special place in his heart, and he often spoke of them with pride, laughter, and love. To them, he wasn't just Papa—he was a hero, a prayer warrior, and a steady source of joy and wisdom.
Jim was preceded in death by his father, Herman Glasco, his beloved son, "Little Jimmy" Glasco, and his brother, Phillip Glasco.
Pastor Jim's legacy is one of unwavering faith, tireless service, and a life poured out for the Kingdom. He didn't just talk about Jesus—he lived like Jesus. His impact reaches far beyond the pulpit and into the lives of those he discipled, encouraged, and prayed for.
A viewing will be held on Monday, August 11th, from 5:00–7:00 PM at Peters Funeral Home in Shafter.
His celebration of life will take place on Tuesday, August 12th at 10:00 AM at 7th Standard Pentecostal Church, followed by a dinner for all attendees.
While we mourn his passing, we rejoice in knowing he is now face-to-face with the One he preached about for so many years.
"Well done, good and faithful servant… enter into the joy of your Lord."
—Matthew 25:21
Pastor Jim Glasco ran his race, kept the faith, and finished well. Though his voice is now silent, his legacy will speak for generations.
