Jimmy DeWayne Banks was born May 4, 1969 in Wasco, California and has been a life-long resident. He attended Wasco elementary schools and Wasco Union High School. He worked at various agricultural sheds in the area and also at Denny's as busboy. He loved working outdoors and made extra money collecting and selling firewood. He liked fishing at Lake Success and the area canals with his grandpa. Jimmy also liked camping and going to the beach. His favorite times were spent being with his family around the holidays and enjoying bar-be-cues. He accepted the Lord while in the hospitals. We the family want to thank Pro Care Hospice for all their help and caring for Jimmy. Jimmy is survived by his mother, Margaret Stephens and husband Don of Wasco; grandmother, Betty Blair of Wasco; sisters, LaDonna & husband Stan Madron and Melissa Stephens, all of Wasco; and many other loving family members also his fiancée Cynthia will miss him dearly. Jimmy was preceded in death by his grandfather, Jack Blair. A graveside service will be held Monday, November 21, at 2pm at Shafter Memorial Park for Jimmy DeWayne Banks, age, 42, of Wasco who passed away November 13, 2011 at home with his family by his side. Pastor Violet Curlee will officiate and inurnment will follow.
