Jesus Resendiz was born in Chupicuaro, Guanajuato, Mexico on September 16, 1933 to Epimenio and Aurora (Serrano) Resendiz. Jesus worked in agriculture for 40 years. He raised seven children with his wife. He loved to garden and plant tomatoes, chilies and tending to the fruit trees. Jesus enjoyed watching Chavo del Ocho on television and telling stories to everyone. Jesus was 80 years old when he passed away peacefully at home on March 5, 2014 in Shafter, California. He is survived by his sons, Juan (Miriam) and Samuel (Cristina); daughters, Aurora (Manuel) Alberto, Maria Luz (Martin) Mora, Carmen (Juan Martinez) Resendiz, Graciela (Enrique) Resendiz; 21 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his daughter Guadalupe Resendis and his wife. The Mass of the Resurrection was officiated by Father David Enriquez at Saint Therese Catholic Church Saturday March 8, 2014 at 10 am. A visitation was held on Friday March 7, 2014 at 2pm at Peters Funeral Home Chapel with the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6pm. Le sobreviven sus hijos, Juan (Miriam) y Samuel (Cristina); hijas, Alberto Aurora (Manuel), Maria Luz (Martin) Mora, Carmen (Juan Martínez) Resendíz, Resendíz Graciela (Enrique); 21 nietos y 9 bisnietos. Él está precedido en la muerte de su hija Guadalupe Resendíz y su esposa. La Misa de la resurrección fue oficiada por el padre David Enríquez en la Iglesia Católica Santa Teresa sábado, 8 de marzo de 2014 a las 10 de la mañana. Una visita realizó viernes, 7 de marzo de 2014 en capilla funeraria Peters con el rezo del Santo Rosario a las 6 de la tarde.
