Jesus Holguin Lopez was born in Mexico. He moved to the United States as an infant and became a proud citizen after serving in the Army during World War II. Jess as he was known by many, was a hard worker and provider for his family. He was a devoted farm laborer contractor, providing jobs for many in the Wasco community. He worked as a labor contractor for over 60 years. After he retired; he spent a lot of his time at his beloved Lopez Ranch visiting with his horse. Jess passed away peacefully on December 28, 2022 in Bakersfield. He will be missed and loved by all he knew.

Jess is survived by his beloved wife, Maria B. Lopez; daughters, Mercy (Paul) Reyes, Sylvia (Chris) Ante, Doreen (Juan) Camerena; sons, Rick Lopez and Ricardo Lopez; brothers, Jimmy Lopez, Joe Lopez; sisters, Bertha Lopez and Pauline Pereda; many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great- great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents Ramon & Mercedes Lopez; daughter, Josie Lopez; son, Jesse Lopez; brothers, Alfonso Lopez, Ramon Lopez, Russ Lopez; sister, Nellie Saenz.
