Jesus Ibarra-Duran was born in Yuriria, Guanajuato, Mexico, on June 21, 1963, to Emilio and Maria Duran. He came to the United States in 1980, living briefly in Houston, Texas and New Jersey. Jesus settled in Arvin and married Maria Guadalupe Contreras in Mexico. Jesus enjoyed his life and was known to be a family man. He treasured his wife, children, family and friends. While in New Jersey he enjoyed hunting and fishing. Jesus was a farm laborer, although he also worked at times in the construction industry. Jesus is survived by his wife, Ma. Guadalupe; children, Rodolfo, Jesus, Juan Emilio, Alma and twins, Antonio and Milagros all of Arvin; parents, Emilio and Maria of Mexico; brothers, Maurillo and wife, Irma of Arvin, Juventino and wife, Ma. Guadalupe, Rafael and wife, Gloria, Jose and wife, Laura, and Spriano all of New Jersey; sisters, Isabel and husband, Rafael Jaimes, Sylvina and husband, Pedro Garcia, and Leticia and husband, Arturo Zavala all of Mexico. Recitation of the Holy Rosary was held at Arvin Funeral Home on Thursday, January 31, 2008, at 6pm, for Jesus Duran-Ibarra, age 44, of Arvin, who passed away January 22, 2008, in Los Angeles. Mass of the Christian Burial was celebrated Friday, February 1, 2008, at 10am. Father Jorge De La Torre of St. Thomas Catholic Church officiated the service and interment will follow at Panteon Rancho Del Tigre, Yuriria, Guanajuato, Mexico.
