Jesus Jose Barrera-Larralde was born December 23, 1989 in Bakersfield, California to Gregoria (Barrera) and Ismael Larralde the youngest of five children. He grew up in Shafter attending Shafter elementary schools and graduated from Shafter High School with the Class of 2008. While in high school Jesus played football. After graduation Jesus started working for Confab and had been with the company for 14 months, he was promoted to leadman just a week before his fatal accident. Jesus was a big Dallas Cowboys fan and in his free time enjoyed fishing with his friends, anywhere the fish were biting. Jesus is survived by his parents, Gregoria and Ismael; fiancée, Victoria Mia Garza; brothers, Ismael Larralde Jr. and Israel Larralde; sisters Susana Espinoza and Maria Espinoza; nephew, Jakob Atreyu Clark; many other loving family members including aunts, uncles and cousins. His daughter, Mia Rose is expected on July 4, 2011. Jesus was preceded in death by his 4 grandparents. Holy Rosary will be recited Monday, May 9 at 6pm at Peters Funeral Home for Jesus Jose Barrera-Larralde, age 21, of Shafter who passed away May 1, 2011 in Bakersfield. Mass of the Christian Burial will be said Tuesday, May 10, at 10am at St. Therese's Catholic Church. Fr. Pedro Umana will officiate the service and interment will follow at Shafter Memorial Park.
