Tony Figueroa, Jr. was born in Bakersfield on January 22, 1983, to Tony, Sr. and Dalia Figueroa. He attended the local schools and graduated from Shafter High School. Tony was very athletic and excelled at baseball. He enjoyed fishing and going to the beach. He was happiest sharing his life with his family and loved to make his family happy. Tony had been working as a car salesman in Tucson, AZ for the last 4 years. Tony was a wonderful person and his family loved him dearly. Tony was preceded in death by his mother, Dalia (2005); and his maternal grandparents, Gilbert and Berta Valdez. His is survived by his father, Tony, Sr. and his wife, Rosa Maria Figueroa; brother, Michael Figueroa of Bakersfield; sister, Lizette Figueroa of Wasco; grandparents, Tony and Mercedes Figueroa of Tucson, AZ; and many other loving family members residing in Shafter, Wasco, McFarland, Delano, and Bakersfield. A Mass of the Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Therese's Catholic Church on Tuesday, April 24, 2007, at 1pm, for Jesus Antonio "Tony" Figueroa, age 24, of Tucson, Arizona who passed away April 17, 2007, in Tucson. Father Pedro Umana of St. Therese's Catholic Church officiated at the service and interment followed at Shafter Memorial Park.
