Jesse Garza October 12, 1976 – December 30, 2015 Jesse Garza was born on October 12, 1976 to Phyllis Sanchez and Porfirio Garza. He was born and raised in Bakersfield, California in a large family with 7 brothers and sisters. Jesse obtained a Bachelor's degree in education. He work as a teacher for Longfellow Elementary School District. Jesse has been a teacher for Bakersfield School District for over 22 years. He was very charismatic and very committed to educating young people of the community. He is survived by his brothers, Porfirio (Selena), Michael (Clara), Robert Jr. Montalvo, Randy, and Brian; sisters, Sarah and Sandra Montalvo; mother, Phyllis (Robert) Montalvo; father, Porfirio Garza. A Mass of a Christian Burial will be officiated by Msgr. Craig Harrison on Thursday, January 14, 2015 at St. Francis Catholic Church at 9am followed by a graveside a Greenlawn Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 13, 2015 at St. Francis Catholic Church from 6-8pm with a recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7pm.
