Jess was born on August 14, 1914, in Washington to John and Lulu Olinghouse. He passed away on January 21, 2007, in Shafter. Jess had been a resident of Shafter for the last 30 years. He enjoyed going to lunch or dinner at the local China Cuisine Restaurant. He loved horses and considered himself a "Horse Whisperer". Special thanks to Dr. Moon and Dr. Hagen and their nursing staff and to Shafter Healthcare Center for the excellent care that was provided to Jess. Thank you to all the people that made contributions to the funeral and cemetery expense on Jess' behalf, it was greatly appreciated.
